GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A short-term rental owner is sharing her thoughts on the Green Bay Common Council’s latest decision about a proposed short-term rental rule.

The common council voted Tuesday night to send the item back to the city staff, where they will then figure out an approach that works for everyone.

Brooke Tassoul, a short-term rental owner and operator, is relieved that the proposal is not moving forward as it was previously written.

She believes the 180-day cap and 7-night minimum requirements were too harsh and claims that the week-long minimum would have eliminated 94% of her business.

She says short-term rentals are an important part of the tourism economy and is in support of finding a solution, rather than seeing this as a problem.
