SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - We’re less than 30 days away from the new year.

And some of you are still gearing up for this holiday season!

But in South Bend, there’s a fundraising movement full of the holiday spirit to help a man get a better truck.

$10,000.

That’s the amount of money people donated to a South Bend man to get a better vehicle in the last 48 hours.

We talked to the man who owns the vehicle, and another who’s behind this fundraiser.

There’s a truck that a lot of people will doubt starts... but it does.

The body of the truck is tilted, one of the taillights is dangling, and both sides of the truck have several wreckages.

Indiana State Code Nine clearly says vehicles should be in a safe mechanical condition.

And that includes all essential lamp equipment that must work
