ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Oro Valley Police Department is hosting a Dispose-A-Med event on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 11000 N. La Canada Drive.

Residents can safely dispose of expired or unwanted medications, including over-the-counter meds, tablets, capsules, vitamins, and veterinarian-prescribed medications.

However, liquids, creams, household hazardous waste, inhalation bottles, sharps, and batteries will not be accepted.

This event provides a valuable opportunity for the community to ensure medications are disposed of responsibly.
