RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Former Reno City Councilman Paul McKenzie has been arrested on domestic violence charges.

At around 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 29, deputies with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cold Springs on reports of a domestic battery.

According to court documents obtained by KOLO 8 News Now, two people, identified only as a mother and a nephew, said they had been in an altercation with McKenzie. One person sustained a concussion during the incident and had to be taken to an area hospital.

According to court documents, McKenzie was in the garage with another unidentified person when they became upset that McKenzie was on a ladder despite apparently suffering from a bad shoulder.
