DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The coldest weather since February has already spilled across the Canadian/US border. If you're not a fan of winter weather, then look away. It's making a beeline for Illinois!

This frigid air arrives under the cover of darkness tonight as our latest cold front slips past. Said front is accompanied by clouds, a gusty wind for a few hours, flurries and spotty freezing drizzle. Just a heads up if you are running any errands early tonight.

The coldest part of this air mass arrives Thursday night into Friday morning. Temperatures at daybreak will be in the singles digits; not all of which will be positive. This is your reminder to drip the faucet if your sink is on the inside of an exterior wall.

Stay warm, stay safe and stay weather-aware.
