The Gujarat Administrative Reforms Commission (GARC) has recommended the creation of a Medical Services Recruitment Board (MSRB) to recruit medical professionals under the Health and Family Welfare Department, modelled on the Gujarat Public Service Commission.

On Wednesday, GARC chairman Dr Hasmukh Adhia submitted the commission’s sixth recommendation report to the Chief Minister.

The suggestions include drawing a 10-year recruitment calendar, completion of the job process within a fixed time frame, conducting joint recruitment and the Common Central Test (CET) and greater adoption of computer-based examinations, among others.
