Technical and operational glitches, including issues with the check-in software Amadeus, which is widely used in the aviation industry, resulted in delay and cancellation of several flights across the country, including Ahmedabad. The city airport witnessed delays of over 25 flights and cancellation of another six on Wednesday. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has advised travellers to verify flight status through official channels before departure.

Nation-wide, IndiGo was the worst-hit, with over 100 flights at various airports cancelled and scores of services delayed.
