WOODSTOCK, Ga. — A new drone delivery service is launching in metro Atlanta just in time for the holidays.

Back in October 2025, Woodstock city officials approved permits for Wing to partner with Walmart and launch the service from the retailer's Highway 92 location.

Woodstock leaders joined executives from Wing and Walmart on Wednesday to launch what they said is metro Atlanta’s first ultra-fast drone delivery service.

Beginning Wednesday, Walmart customers near six participating metro Atlanta stores -- including the Walmart Supercenter on Ga. 92 in Woodstock -- will be able to order select items for drone delivery. Eligible products include groceries, household essentials, over-the-counter medicine and last-minute gifts.
