MYSTIC — The Mystic Chamber Music Series is bringing back a holiday favorite this weekend with "A Christmas Carol – A Candlelit Concert," on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at the Union Baptist Church in Mystic, 119 High St., Mystic.

Featuring Works by Mendelssohn, Bach and Ravel, the candlelit chamber music concert is inspired by the classic Charles Dickens novella, "A Christmas Carol," and is explored through the lens of classical music, according to Jennifer Schwindt, a board member for the chamber music series.

The concert tells the story of Mendelssohn as he was touring London performing his own music with the Philharmonic Society around the same time Dickens was rising to fame in the literary world.
