West Sacramento’s waterfront is undergoing a major transformation as new development accelerates across the Bridge District. Fulcrum Property’s Pierside project is at the center of the growth, featuring more than 260 apartments and townhomes, a five-story commercial and amenity building, and riverfront features such as a fitness center and resort-style pool. Fulcrum and Brown Construction leaders say construction is moving quickly, fueled in part by the energy brought by the A’s temporary move to Sutter Health Park. Additional housing, a life science campus, and the long-awaited River One hotel and condo project are also underway. City plans call for a future plaza with restaurants and public spaces, aiming to make the riverfront a premiere destination.
