DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Downtown Decatur Christmas Walk is a beloved holiday tradition in the community and marks the unofficial start to Christmas festivities.
Hundreds of people attended the event to finish up their Christmas shopping. Many visited local small businesses and the Decatur Area Arts Council, which featured products made by several local artists.
"W e love this event and have been a part of it for many years, and we feel that it's a great way to connect us with the community and to get our artists, friends and partners connected with the community that they're creating and that people might not know that they're a part of," said Katie Dunscombe, program coordinator for the Decatur Area Arts Council.
