EDGEFIELD, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Edgefield County Council members voted unanimously to strengthen the county’s RV park ordinance.
The new ordinance emerged from collaboration between the Horse Creek Nature Preserve and Edgefield County officials following the controversial preliminary approval of an RV Park on Bream Oak Road.
Neighbors had raised environmental and traffic concerns about the development.
Under the new regulations, RV parks must connect to public sewer systems rather than septic tanks. Parks also cannot be located within five miles of one another.
