MINERSVILLE, Pa. — Miner's quarterback, Dante Carr put pen to paper Wednesday afternoon, affirming his commitment to the University of Central Florida.

A signing ceremony was held in the Minersville Area High School's auditorium where Carr inked his signature on his national letter of intent.

"They see the potential in me, I see the potential in them, so that's just something that gets me really excited," said Carr.

Carr committed to the program back in the summer and will join the campus as a freshman this spring.

After his freshman football season with the Battlin' Miners, Carr's head coach, Justin Frantz, told him he should get prepared for college offers as he developed. Carr has since planned to graduate early, which he will at the end of December.
