LEXINGTON — North Rowan’s boys basketball team experienced a scoring drought in the second quarter, and Lexington pulled away for a 91-61 non-conference win on Tuesday.
“We played well in the first quarter,” North head coach Herb Liles said. “We did a good job on defense, getting steals and deflections that led to easy transition points.”
Lexington took better care of the ball in the second quarter, and North’s offensive production dried up. North had a seven-point second quarter. That lull proved decisive. Lexington led by 15 at the half.
“Even when we got steals, we could not convert,” Liles said. “And we weren’t moving the ball in the half court.”
