CINCINNATI, Ohio — Joe Burrow has faced more than his fair share of comeback stories in his young career, but his latest return from injury struck an emotional chord with the normally stoic Bengals quarterback. Burrow had missed his team’s last nine games recovering from turf toe surgery before returning on Thanksgiving.

When asked about appearing more emotional than usual after his successful return against the Ravens on Thanksgiving, Burrow acknowledged the special nature of this comeback.

“I just think I’ve been through a lot of these and haven’t had the chance to come back in the middle of a season like this from any of the other ones that I’ve had. And so this one has been special to me,” he shared with reporters.
