INDIANAPOLIS — Eli Lilly and Company is teaming up with Indiana University.
Lilly is providing up to $40 million the university to expand access to clinical trials in Indiana.
13News spoke with David Rosenberg, president and CEO of the IU Launch Accelerator for Biosciences. He and other leaders say the organizations will work together to advance research and care for conditions including Alzheimer's disease, diabetes and cancer.
Rosenberg said the the agreement will also allow the opportunity to better train the next generation.
"The opportunities for the careers that those students can have as they come here, they can either take the path of research, they can take industry partnership. It just opens up a new world and new opportunities for the students that join IU," he said.
