Nearly 30,000 drivers have been caught by speed cameras on the M6 in the West Midlands this year, figures obtained by Coventry Telegraph have revealed.
Certain junctions are more likely to catch motorists breaking the speed limit. Data from West Midlands Police shows total speeding offences along the region's stretch of the motorway since the start of the year.
The busiest area for speed cameras is between the M54 slip road near Wolverhampton and Junction 10 for Walsall, heading southbound, reports Birmingham Live .
This is statistically the location where drivers are most likely to be caught speeding on the M6 in the West Midlands.
A total of 9,711 drivers were caught here and subsequently hit with fines.
Another hotspot location is between Junctions 7 and 8 near Great Barr
