A mum who discovered her daughter lifeless in her cot at 16 months old, is now imploring parents to trust their maternal instincts.

Lisa Fifield, originally from Liverpool but now splitting her time between Essex and Spain, welcomed her first child, Ophelia Lily Ada Fifield, with husband Erol, 46, on October 5 2023.

The 36-year-old makeup described her daughter as possessing an "old soul" quality - a contented little one who adored company and had a passion for food, particularly bananas.
