Scarlett Johansson is in early negotiations to join The Batman Part II , stepping into the Matt Reeves–directed sequel opposite Robert Pattinson, even as Zoe Kravitz is not expected to reprise her role as Catwoman. The film, backed by DC Studios, is slated to begin shooting next spring ahead of its planned October 2027 theatrical release.

The script for the sequel was completed earlier this year by Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin.
