India’s largest airline, IndiGo, is facing a major operational crisis. More than 250 flights cancelled in just two days, hitting lakhs of passengers across key airports. Passengers in several cities were forced to spend the whole night at airports. Other than cancelling, hundreds of flights are running late for hours.
On Wednesday alone, 42 flights were cancelled in Bengaluru, followed by Delhi with 38 and Mumbai with 33. Hyderabad saw 19 cancellations, Ahmedabad 25, Indore 11, Kolkata 10, and Surat 8.
And this is not the first time. On November 6, over 800 flights of different Airline operating companies were affected at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
