A national gaming store chain that draws a portion of their business from trade-ins is redefining the idea of a holiday swap — and having loads of fun leading up to the event.
On Dec. 6, GameStop stores around the Charleston area hoping to draw in new customers by offering a $5 credit towards future purchases to anyone who trades in their real-life junk, gaming-related or otherwise.
The wackier the better.
Associates will accept nearly anything customers no longer want , from an article of clothing to a decorative pillow or a nest of old cords, as long as it fits inside a 20-by-20-by-20-inch box. Stores will have the boxes on hand for size reference.
