Around 300,000 employees are poised to forfeit an HMRC tax benefit valued at £312 come 2026. HMRC has confirmed that 300,000 staff members will see the end of their £6 weekly - equivalent to £312 annually - home working tax relief.

Following the Labour Party's Autumn Budget , the £6 flat rate will be abolished for workers from April 2026.
