(Sioux Falls, SD) — The Sioux Falls School District Superintendent says he’s frustrated there’s no increase to education funding in the Governor’s budget proposal. Governor Larry Rhoden introduced his budget in a state address on Tuesday. State law requires education funding to increase each year by three-percent or inflation depending on which one is higher. Superintendent Jamie Nold says additional education funding could come out of the rainy day fund. Rhoden’s budget introduced a proposal to increase saving in the rainy day fund from ten percent to 12-point-five percent.
