(Washington DC) — South Dakota Senator John Thune says Republicans face headwinds going into next year’s mid-term elections. His comment came yesterday after the Republican candidate in a special election for Congress out of Tennessee won his race by a closer-than-expected margin. The Senate Majority Leader says that Republicans need to sharpen their message and make sure they’re giving people a reason to vote for them in the midterms next year.
