Cucuzzo — it’s that crazy squash referred to as “gagootz.” And, so prevalent it is on Staten Island in the summer and fall the thing that grows downward from vines (also referred to as “baseball bat squash” due to its shape and size) has made its way into other cultures who live here as well.
