A new bakery is planning to take over former stores once owned by huge chain Greggs, which is famed for its sausage rolls, pastries and reasonable prices. Family-run Bakery79 is planning to open up more sites across the UK this year.

They have already got stores up and down the UK, including Blackpool, Forfar, Wimborne and Ashington. The bakery sells hot fresh pastries, homemade-style bakes, classic sausage rolls and freshly brewed coffee, which is backed and brewed from scratch every morning. Bakery79 is built on nearly five decades of family heritage, dating back to 1979. The Tandon family’s grandparents opened their first shop 46 years ago.
