Power’s Larenz Tate and Michael’s Nia Long will star and produce Netflix’s upcoming feature film, The Hang Suite . The film is inspired by Maxwell’s studio album Urban Hang Suite, and filming is reportedly set to begin on December 8, 2025. Here’s everything we know about The Hang Suite on Netflix.

The Hang Suite is an upcoming drama film co-written and directed by Eugene Ashe (Homecoming) . Kay Oyegun (This Is Us) wrote the film’s script, inspired by Maxwell’s R&B album Urban Hang Suite. Macro Film Studios is the production studio behind the project, with James Lopez, Charles D. King, and Poppy Hanks confirmed as producers.

Maxwell has been confirmed as an executive producer on the film, alongside John D. Hammond, Nia Long, and Larenz Tate.
