Veterans for Peace does not engage in partisan politics. Our organization does not support or oppose political candidates or elected officials for their political philosophy. But we do speak out on political issues and the actions of elected officials that we consider harmful to people or to the principles of equality, equal opportunity, the rule of law, or democratic governance.
On entering the military, we took an oath to “defend and protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.” So, when we see these principles being violated, we believe we have a duty as veterans — and as citizens — to take action.
