NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — An underage girl is facing charges in North Charleston after police discovered she had a handgun hidden in her bra on Wednesday.
The girl, whose name and age were not released, is charged with possession of a firearm by a person under age 18 and first-degree assault and battery, police say.
A caller told 911 shortly after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday that they were locked inside a restroom with others while someone was banging on the door and threatening to kill them.
Police responded to the 4800 block of Park Circle to investigate.
Victims identified the underage girl as the suspect and police detained her.
Police said they found a pistol concealed in he girl’s bra during a search.
She was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center Juvenile Unit, police said.
