JACKSON COUNTY, Ohio. (WSAZ) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol says they seized 46 pounds of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop in Jackson County.
Troopers seized 17 packages weighing 46 pounds of suspected cocaine on U.S. Route 35 on December 3.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:16 p.m. after a vehicle was traveling above the posted speed limit on the highway, resulting in a traffic stop.
OSHP says during the stop, a Patrol canine unit was alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is approximately $546,000, according to OSHP.
The driver, Justice Simon, 29, from Charlotte, NC, was taken into custody.
Simon is currently being held in the Jackson County Jail.
