OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Crews are working to recover from solid waste collection delays in Omaha caused by the Thanksgiving holiday and recent weather events.
In a release Wednesday, the Public Works Department and its waste contractor, FCC Environmental Services said while the current schedule has a one-day delay , some residents have reported longer interruptions.
As the cold weather continues , crews will attempt to pick up all collections of recycling, garbage, and yard waste before Sunday.
FCC Environmental has temporarily allowed its workers to collect garbage and yard waste together for efficiency purposes.
