BOSTON —
A Connecticut man was arrested and is now one of three people to face charges in connection with a street takeover that ended with a Boston police cruiser on fire.
David Antonio Moran, 19, of Norwalk, Connecticut, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with burning a motor vehicle, the unlawful possession of fireworks, disturbing the peace and conspiracy.
During the early morning hours of Oct. 5, Boston police responded to Massachusetts Avenue and Tremont Street and encountered a crowd of more than 100 people with several vehicles blocking the intersection. Objects, including fireworks, cones and poles, were thrown at marked cruisers, according to the department.
One cruiser filled with smoke and caught fire after being repeatedly struck with fireworks, police said.
