An assessment of Washington County Detention Center records since Nov. 10 shows at least 42 people have been arrested in Northwest Arkansas by federal immigration authorities, but only seven of them appear to have state charges in Arkansas.
Meanwhile, the co-founder of a regional immigrant rights organization recently said his group has been receiving reports that the biggest hotspots for immigration operations in the region are Springdale and Tontitown, two cities with large Hispanic populations.
