FAYETTEVILLE -- The city is requesting input from residents, businesses and community members on the design of the School Avenue corridor.
The project involves major street improvements to the stretch of South School Avenue from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to 15th Street, according to the city's website. Planned improvements will focus on safer crossings, improved visibility, better peak-hour traffic flow, wider sidewalks, enhanced landscaping and streetscape features, the website states.
"It's important that the City listens to residents before plans are designed and prior to construction," Mayor Molly Rawn said in a news release about the projects. "We see how fast Fayetteville is growing, and we have a responsibility to shape that growth with intention so the city we build works
