FORT FRANCES — A suspected intoxicated driver was denied entry into Canada at a local land border.
In the afternoon of Nov. 19, Canadian border service agents denied entry to a U.S. driver, as it was suspected that the driver was intoxicated.
Upon investigation, border agents found open alcohol in the vehicle.
The traveller was arrested and turned over to the Ontario Provincial Police for further investigation, according to a CBSA spokesperson.
