Local English public and Catholic school boards are celebrating gains made by students in standardized testing results, despite criticism of overall provincial results by the Ontario Education Minister.
The St. Clair Catholic District school board saw students improve in seven of eight provincial assessment categories, board officials said in a media release.
Students have “made important achievement gains in EQAO assessments,” said director of education Lisa Demers in the release. “The growth demonstrated that our work with students is making a difference and that our staff is committed to helping all students achieve.”
