TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Tucson Police Department says a pedestrian is dead and the driver left the scene after a crash Wednesday night, December 2.

The TPD says the crash happened in the 200 block of East Drexel Road.

The pedestrian died at the scene and has not yet been identified.

Police say vehicle parts were found in the road but no vehicle was located.

The TPD says evidence indicates the pedestrian was crossing Drexel Road from north to south when that individual was hit by the suspect vehicle, which was traveling west on Drexel Road.

Based on the vehicle parts found at the scene, detectives believe the suspect vehicle is a white 2017 to 2019 Ford Escape, with a missing driver’s side view mirror, and damage to the driver side headlamp area.
