The deputy mayor of West Perth was acclaimed to the role on Thursday morning.
Perth County has a new warden.
Dean Trentowsky was acclaimed as the head of county council during a Thursday morning meeting at Stratford’s Arden Park Hotel. Trentowsky replaces outgoing warden Doug Kellum, who served in the role over this past year.

In addition to the Trentowsky acclamation, Perth South Mayor Sue Orr was acclaimed as Perth County’s next deputy warden. Trentowsky and Orr indicated their intent to seek the roles at a county meeting in November, and no other council members put their names forward for the two jobs.
Trentowsky becomes the 151st warden of Perth County since William Smith of Downie Township first assumed the role in 1850.
