UPDATE: Federal court records show Taylor pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of minors and three counts of transfer of obscene materials to minors during a court hearing on December 3, 2025.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Lee’s Summit man was arrested Thursday and indicted by a federal grand jury for receiving and possessing child pornography.

The U.S. Department of Justice said 42-year-old Matthew R. Taylor was charged in a five-count indictment on March 26, 2025, that was unsealed following his arrest Thursday. Taylor was charged with one count of receiving child pornography, one count of possessing child pornography and three counts of attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor.
