Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was shot in the head at an apartment complex in Gaffney, South Carolina, according to deputies.

Around 3:17 p.m. on Nov. 25, officers with the Gaffney Police Department responded to a shooting at Limestone Courts on North Limestone Street.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, 23-year-old Robert Victor Dillard III was shot in the head inside one of the apartments around 2:41 p.m.

Dillard died in the hospital on Nov. 26.

On Dec. 4, deputies announced the arrests of two 16-year-olds in connection with the homicide.

In accordance with state law, the Gaffney Police Department is prohibited from releasing their names.
