DREW COUNTY, Ark. — A Drew County woman is accusing a former Arkansas State Police (ASP) trooper of planting cocaine in her car during a traffic stop almost two years ago.
A jury later cleared her of the charges that stemmed from that encounter, and the trooper was eventually fired.
Now, she's sharing her story.
"[He] went to his trunk to retrieve drugs and walked around to the front passenger side, and brought it to the jail with his camera turned off. I was charged with it. I was facing 20 years," said Amanda Prince, who accused the trooper.
A state police spokesperson has since confirmed that then-ASP trooper Walker Morphis was fired at the start of this year, after five years with the agency. Their investigation found that Morphis violated three policies: rules of conduct, improper
