Response times for the most urgent calls coming into Windsor police are getting shorter, Windsor's police chief shared in an update to the board Thursday.

According to Chief Jason Crowley — who is concluding his first full week on the job — response times for "priority one" calls are down this year.

"If there’s one thing that we do is respond to 911 calls and consistently for months now we have been considerably lower than we have been in the past couple of years," said Crowley.

"I can tell you since last year we have seen a decrease in our time, which is a good thing."
