SALEM, Oregon — A man has died as a result of his injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Salem, police said on Thursday.
The crash happened on Nov. 29 around 10:04 p.m. near the intersection of Commercial Street and Ewald Avenue Southeast. Police officers determined two men were traveling westbound across Commercial Street Southeast when one of them was hit by a southbound vehicle.
Police identified the man as 21-year-old Ethan Alekseyenko. He was taken to Salem Hospital where he later died, police said.
The Salem Police Traffic Team is investigating. No citations or arrests have been made so far in the case.
This marks the tenth deadly crash in Salem since the start of the year, according to police.
