3 students facing charges following reports of potential threat at Gresham Middle School, KPD says

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Three Gresham Middle School students have been charged in connection to a potential threat at the school.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, officers were told about a potential threat made by a Gresham Middle School student Wednesday morning.

While investigating, officials found that a male student had made the threat. That student was charged for making a threat of mass violence.

KPD said the investigation also revealed that two other students at the school had falsely reported that they heard a threat. Those two were charged with false reporting.
