VINTON, Va. (WDBJ) - Battling a life‑threatening diagnosis is never easy, but neighbors, friends and strangers across Roanoke County have made sure there has been no shortage of love for Camden “Cam” Thepsimuong .

Cam, a Vinton native who has been fighting a rare bone cancer since last year, has received steady support from his community as he reaches important milestones.

In October he went across the stage at his high school graduation, and earlier this year residents decorated an entire neighborhood with lights and Christmas displays so he could enjoy his favorite holiday.

Throughout the fall and into the holiday season, people have rallied around Cam and his family.
