India’s aviation sector is facing unprecedented turbulence as Indigo’s operational crisis enters Day 3, highlighting the challenges of implementing new Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) for pilots. Hundreds of flights have been cancelled over the past three days, leaving passengers stranded at airports from Delhi to Bengaluru.

IndiGo’s operational turmoil stretched into Day 3 on Friday, triggering another wave of heavy disruptions. More than 600 flights were cancelled across major airports , on top of the 550-plus cancellations reported yesterday. Delhi airport has been hit the hardest, with the airline scrapping all 235 of its flights there today.

The disruptions have left travellers scrambling to adjust their travel plans.
