Rush hour commuters were hit by delays on a major Birmingham railway route.
The Cross City Line South was suspended 'until further notice' due to a signalling issue.
West Midlands Railways first reported a signalling fault on the Cross City South shortly after 6am today, Friday, December 5.

It said: “No services are able to run between Birmingham New Street - Bromsgrove / Redditch . Rail replacement transport is being ordered to run Longbridge - Bromsgrove / Redditch.”
The railway firm posted less than ten minutes later that the issue had been resolved and the line had reopened.
But that appeared to have been false hope as at 7.40am West Midlands Railway confirmed the issue was back.
