Bhubaneswar witnessed a massive rally as thousands of primary teachers marched on Mahatma Gandhi Marg to press for their long-standing demands.
The protest showcased slogans and demonstrations, and it highlighted two critical issues that teachers have raised for years.
First, teachers demanded an upgrade of the basic post with a revised salary of Rs 35,400. They argued that the current pay scale fails to reflect their contribution to the education system. Moreover, they urged the government to implement the revision without delay.
