Northern Rail has issued a warning to customers about a "huge" timetable change across its network.

The change will officially come into effect from Sunday, December 14.

This update is part of the national timetable change process that takes place every May and December.

The changes are intended to implement wider improvements across the rail network, leading to new routes, faster journeys, and more reliable and convenient services.

Specific service improvements include the addition of later trains in the evening and extra trains during peak times on certain routes, following customer feedback.
