A total of eight men and one woman have been charged after a series of raids were carried out across Merseyside. Yesterday morning at 7am, teams from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) carried out a series of coordinated raids across Liverpool, Knowsley and Sefton .

These were targeting a local gang suspected of the production and supply of class A and B drugs. Just minutes later, eight of the targeted 10 suspects were in handcuffs and awaiting transportation to custody.
